alone at last
02 October 2007

I'm working without my supervisor today. My supervisor, Joanne, is on long leave and will be back only on monday. I'm surprised that she took this long leave and leave me alone to do the necessary work even though I've only just started work barely a month ago. This means that I'm very reliable, independent and matured enough to handle the work alone. Self praising!! I believe, with this praising, it will bring up my morale to go to work everyday.

But I'm not alone today. There's those colleagues of mine who are manning the call center. They will be very noisy with their different tones when they talked to customers. Its just like in the market. Its like that when you work in a call center.
I've worked in a call center before in my former workplace. I do it on rotational basis. Just couldn't take it. And imagine if I were to do it everyday, I think I will go bonkers one day.

Today, the best thing is that I'm going to break fast at my mom's house. Yesterday, my sis brought my mom and my younger bro, Taufiq, to break fast in Johor. How dare! They never told me about that. Only when I called my mom to tell her that I will be going to her house to collect back hubby's I/C, and when I heard a different ringing tone, I knew that they are not in Singapore. They must have gone to eat seafood.....

My son now called me 'mak' or sometimes 'mamak'. And hubby, 'bah' and sometimes 'babak'. So cute.

I still haven't receive letters from the kindergarten in which I've enrolled my daughter for her nursery next year. Another 2 more months to go and she will start to go to school. She'a a big girl already. She has grown taller. At home,my maid became her teacher and thought her how to write numbers and alphabets. I've bought her the numbering and alphabets books for her to practice writing everyday. My maid could not converse well in english.

There was once, I heard my daughter said she want to play badminton. The 'ton' we pronounce is in 'turn' but her's is 'torn'. Its pure Indon slang. I corrected her pronounciation. My maid was there and Marsya told her that she's wrong. And her reply was, "Bibik speak Indonlah."

Oh ya..today is my mom's birthday. Sorry mom no present at the moment. There's hole in my pocket.
