Yesterday, is hubby's birthday. He turned 29 this year. Took leave yesterday but did not informed him about it. It was meant to be a surprised.

Brought Marsya along to Jurong Point in the afternoon. Wanted to buy a birthday cake for hubby. First, we went to Prima Deli. I already had the cake which I wanted but thought of just looking around again for other cakes at Polar Puffs.

There, Marsya saw a cake with a Power Rangers picture on it. I remembered that my sis said the cake at Polar Puffs taste too buttery, so I told Marsya that I wanted to buy another cake.

But she insist on buying it. Considering that the price of the cake is quite cheap at only $16+, I proceed to buy it. Marsya is so elated as if it is her birthday. I reminded her time and again not to let the cat out the bag when hubby came home. Explained to her that I'm going to surprise him. She nodded as if she understand the meaning of surprise. She kept telling me ok, ok.

5 mins before hubby reached home, I quickly put the cake in the kitchen cabinet. I told Marsya to watch TV as per normal. She was too happy. When hubby opened the door, Marsya immediately said, " I go Jurong Point buy cake." She just can't keep a secret.

I quickly got an idea and told hubby that after he shower, to bring us all to Jurong Point as I wanted to buy cake for him. Immediately after he went to the toilet to, I took out the cake from the cabinet. When he came out from the room, Marsya shouted, 'Surprised'!

When hubby saw the Power Ranger cake, he laughed but he knew that must be Marsya's request. We lighted up the candle and afer singing the birtday song, Marsya was the one to blow off the candle.

Today's lunch...2 Hara Pau and a plain water. I think it should be enough till 6.30 pm when I reached home.


Both my nephew were down with HFMD. My sis said it takes at least a week for them to be thoroughly cured. Now I told my maid not to bring my kids to the playground again.

This Saturday, my parents in law will be moving into their rental flat at Redhill.
